FLORENCE, S.C. – The MUSC Health Florence and Marion medical centers along with MUSC Health Partners are participating in the Veterans Affairs Community Cares Program as part of the new Veterans Affairs Mission Act of 2018.
Starting today, veterans will have a greater choice and access to timely, high-quality care, according to an MUSC Health news release. Eligible veterans will be able to get urgent care from MUSC Health as a Community Care provider.
“We are honored to participate in this important program and provide high-quality health care to our veterans,” said Vance Reynolds, the chief executive officer of MUSC Health-Florence and Marion medical centers. “The goal of the VA Mission Act is to offer a greater choce to veterans for their health care needs. Veterans served our country, and it is our privilege to be able to serve them in this way.”
MUSC Health-Florence and Marion medical centers provide more than 20 medical specialties to patients. MUSC Health-Florence offers two locations for urgent care – one in Florence and one in Lake City, in addition to practices and specialists located in Florence, Marion, Lake City, Pamplico and Kingstree.
