Thursday marked the grand opening of Central Oklahoma Family Medical Center’s location in Stratford.
The health center is located at 302 W. Smith St. This facility is ready to meet the health care needs of all individuals in Stratford and surrounding areas.
This is the third center that COFMC has opened in the last three months. The Stratford location provides full medical and lab services by Tanya Hudson DNP, APRN-CNP, and Tanner Landrum, PC-C Physician Assistant. They will be delivering comprehensive and coordinated care, affordably.
The hours of operation for the health center are from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. until noon Fridays. Walk-ins are welcome.
“We are excited that COFMC provides excellent, high-quality services in a beautiful environment. Our staff is dedicated to the health of the Stratford community, and they were super excited to join us after Mercy closed their clinic down in April,” said Brenda Ware, CEO of COFMC. “Many services are provided and are available to all patients regardless of ability to pay, and we encourage patients to take part in their own health care.
“Our objective is provide access to quality health care without regard to patients’ financial status. We are bringing innovative health care to this community. I want to take this opportunity to invite everyone out to take a look and get familiar with what COFMC can do for health care in Stratford.”
The main medical facility is headquartered out of Konawa and this will be COFMC’s third facility, taking the total number of health care centers to four.
COFMC is a community health center with a federally qualified designation. The center receives funding from the HRSA Health Center Program to provide primary care and other qualifying services in underserved areas, meeting stringent sets of requirements, including providing care on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay. Governed by a board of directors, which includes patient directors, the health center remains heavily invested in the needs of patients and the service area.
The grand opening included a ribbon cutting, an open house and a meal provided by Oklahoma Heritage Bank.
For appointments or more information, the health center can be reached at (580) 436-5111.
